DID you spend hours creating your dream home on The Sims back in the day? It turns out that playing the life simulation game could actually make you happier and healthier, according to a scientist. Psychoanalyst Steve McKeown said that playing games can serve as a healthy escape from everyday life.

Common Sense Media: Common Sense Media gives The Sims 4 a suggested age of 13+, stating that there are “lots of sexual themes, including skimpy outfits, flirting, kissing, but no nudity” and that “sex is performed entirely under the covers”.

the sims really lack depth, i have to imagine most of their stories, it’s boring. i only build and make sims at this point. i’ve been playing the sims 4 since after pools, before toddlers, and have just been consistently disappointed. ea doesn’t listen to their consumers.

“We have some little things like fitness, so sims can naturally change over time in the game,” says The Sims 4’s producer Grant Rodiek. “If they overeat they’ll become overweight. But if you eat healthily or eat properly or you exercise, your sims will lose weight.”
