Who built Hinze Dam?
The land on which Hinze Dam was built was first settled in the 1880s by Carl and Johanna Hinze after they immigrated to Australia from Germany. Grandson Cecil said he remembers how his father Otto would tell the family their land would make an ideal site for a dam.
