The low side, or suction line, will be the line connected to the compressor from the top or higher position. It will be cold to the touch and may be wrapped with insulation. This is where freon enters the compressor as a gas.
How do you recharge the AC on a Dodge Dakota?
Attach the recharge hose to the low-pressure fitting on the compressor. Begin the Dakota’s engine and set the air conditioner to the highest available setting. Turn the valve on the R134a on. This will begin recharging the system.
