What is Rapicide Opa?
RAPICIDE™ OPA/28 is an ortho-Phthalaldehyde based high-level disinfectant that features a long reuse life. With the same contact time and temperature for manual disinfection as in an automated endoscope reprocessor, RAPICIDE OPA/28 provides fast turnaround time for endoscopes.
How do you use Rapicide?
Immerse device completely, filling all lumens or channels if present, with RAPICIDE OPA/28 High-Level Disinfectant solution at or above 0.35% OPA for a minimum of 5 minutes at room temperature (minimum 20°C). Monitor the MRC of the solution with RAPICIDE OPA/28 Test Strips prior to each reprocessing cycle.

The shelf life of an un- opened bottle of CIDEX OPA Solution is 2 years. The solu- tion requires NO activation.
